Hinekauorohia is known as the goddess of reflection and sacred waters 🌊 

The groves down the middle of the moko kauae are shaped as fins, depicting the the past (upper fin), the present (middle fin), and the future (lower fin)- all important elements to consider when in reflection. The cut-filled spirals represent the swirling sacred waters used to ground one’s self when reconnecting with our taiao (environment) and our tupuna (ancestors)💙
