Kuiwai Red Rectangle Earring

The Moko kauae (traditional ink on a woman’s chin) and its design is a distinctive taonga (gift) that differentiates wāhine Māori from other indigenous wāhine.

This particular moko kauae is inspired and designed specifically for our tūpuna Kuiwai. The design has sharper lines that mimic the explosive heat that comes from geothermal activity.
