Matariki Puzzle

Our Matariki puzzle has been designed to spark kōrero and connection to the whetu within the constellation Matariki. 

Our cleverly crafted kowhaiwhai designed speicifically to represent Matariki, gently flows through all the puzzle to help tamariki put the whetu back in the right place. 

The coloured whetu pieces support memory by associating star name with correct positioning on the puzzle board. 

The backboard depicts a beautiful morning sky. Within the cavities of the board, picture clues also help tamariki in remembering what star is connected to what. E.g. Waitā cavity has a picture of a fish, representing kai within the Moana.
